WHAT IT IS
A very friendly and relaxed group for those who love books, old and new, fact and fiction, famous or obscure. Each meeting has a theme (rather than a specific book) e.g. regal, animal, 'in translation', 19th century.
You can play an active role by preparing a brief review of a book on a theme and reading a short extract and enjoying listening to other doing the same.
HOW IT WORKS
The programme (including your choice of topics) is planned for the year. We will occasionally invite a local speaker or author to lead a session.
