If you have a particular interest that you would like to pursue within one of our groups or you are keen to get involved with our social activities, you would be most welcome to join Taunton u3a. Newcomers to any group can attend their first two sessions free of charge before making a decision about joining and also go to one Meet and Greet meeting.
Who can join?
Membership of Taunton u3a is open to everyone no longer in full-time employment and no qualifications are required.
How do I join?
To join, simply print the New Membership Application Form, fill it in and send it back to our Membership Secretary (postal and email addresses on the form). If you don't have access to a printer, send a message, including your name and address, to the Membership Secretary and a paper copy of the form will be sent to you. Otherwise, you can pick up an application form at the monthly Meet and Greet meeting; 10.30am on the second Tuesday of each month, at Temple Methodist Church. Refreshments from 10am.
Payment is accepted by cheque, bank transfer (details provided on the form) or cash at the monthly Meet and Greet meeting.
How much does it cost?
Our membership fee is £25 per year which gives you the u3a national magazine and a printed Taunton u3a newsletter. The fee is £16 for the magazine and an email newsletter. Should you join part-way through the year, the joining fee is reduced. If you belong to another u3a, you can become an associate member of Taunton u3a for £8. Gift Aid
If you are a UK taxpayer, you can increase the value of your membership fee by completing the Gift Aid section on the New Membership Application Form. Then every £1.00 given is worth £1.25 to Taunton u3a. If you are already a member and wish to Gift Aid, please complete our standalone Gift Aid Form.
