This is a group aimed at bringing together people who are on their own so that they can enjoy outings with companions. It is only for people on their own.

The group have a monthly planning meeting when members come together for a chat over a cup of tea, have the opportunity to talk about outings which have taken place, and plan future outings.

All members are expected to suggest and organise an outing – if everyone does this, then perhaps once a year you would have to think about doing something. An outing can range from something as simple as meeting up for a walk, going to the cinema, visiting a local National Trust property, having a coffee morning, going to an exhibition etc. etc.

This is a very successful, friendly group. Where people need lifts to further-flung venues, these are offered on a petrol-share basis.
